I was recently contacted by Barbara from Asgard Press. She asked if I would be interested in receiving a free calendar in return for doing a review on my blog. I answered that I would. I was thinking that I would get, in the mail, one of those cheap, (sorry Barbara) small (6 inch by 6 inch) calendars. Those calendars that are great for being close at hand when you need a date, but you can't really write on them. I was wrong, very wrong!
What I received was 2 HUGE calendars made with 100% recycled paper (50% post-consumer waste) and printed with soy based inks. I unwrapped one, which I will be using as a Christmas gift, and began to look through it. The colors are beautifully bold and the paper is nice and heavy (archival quality). Each calendar page is perforated, so next year you can pull out the pages, neatly, and frame them for your walls! Each will fit nicely into a 11X14 frame! If you don't want to keep all of them for yourself, make them useful as framed gifts for next year! The quality of these calendars is unmatched for me, I have never come across a calendar as nice as these are. Not to mention the environmental factor!
For your benefit I have recently become an affiliate with Asgard Press and when you follow the link from this blog and order, you will receive a 10% discount on any product on the website. If you do not see the 10% upon check out, you can enter promocode: GEJ08 .
So now to the giveaway! I will be giving away a fully wrapped, brand new MAD Magazine calendar from Asgard Press.

About the Images
The images featured in this calendar are archival-quality reproductions
of classic covers of MAD Magazine cover art that were sold many decades ago. In some cases the
images have been digitally repaired and restored where creases, tears,
marks, or other damage would have otherwise distracted from the
appreciation of the artwork as it appeared at that time. Some images
have been cropped and/or resized to fit this format.
- Collector's Premiere Edition
- 16 frame-ready 11"x14" reproductions of classic MAD Magazine cover art

I have to say that my favorite item from thier shop would have to be the super heros calendar!
I haven't had a chance to check it out yet but plan to later today. I really just wanted to say super congratulations for the mutually beneficial affiliation and to say woo hoo for such a progressive company model to Asgard Press!!
My favorite item from Asgard Press would probably be the Kansas football poster http://asgardpress.com/Kentucky-vs-Clemson-29-Poster?sc=2&category=3888
One of my dearest friends is a UK alumni/football player and would just love such a beautiful vintage poster, especially one that is "green".
My favorite item from YOUR MyFairyBabies shop is definitely Gwendolyn the Witch Fairy. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7378340
I collect all different kinds of artisan stuffies, and she is just adorable! http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7378340
hmmm...If I lived in the US, I would DEFINITELY be voting tomorrow! I did vote on October 14th here in Canada (I will never insult the women who fought so hard for the right to vote by not exercising mine).
Tomorrow I will be sitting down with a bottle of wine and watching the election coverage on television to see what the future holds for my lovely neighbors to the south!
I must say very cool!
I like 2009 Vintage Oregon State Football Calendar! Since I'm in Oregon this fits!
